Is a blog the right way to discuss esignatures?

As I’ve researched esignatures as a practitioner, I find that there is still a lot of black magic associated with the field. I don’t want to trivialize implementing esignatures, but I think that adoption will be slowed and deployments will be delayed if people are afraid of the process.

So, I’m putting up this blog to discuss electronic signatures. I’m thinking that I will create pages with tutorial-ish summaries, add useful links in both the pages and the sidebar and we can all post new information/updates as they arrive.

Is this idea useful? Is a blog the right format?

Welcome to the World of Electronic Signing

This site is dedicated to sharing information about the world of Electronic Signatures!

As the world moves rapidly toward e-commerce and away from traditional models of business, one fly in the ointment is the ability to enter into binding agreements in cyberspace. The signature on paper remains the time tested, culturally accepted method of attesting to a contract. But all of that is changing…

This site will provide information on what is going on with electronic signature standards and implementations. We will also hopefully clarify the terminology by providing information on digital signatures as a component of electronic signatures.

I would like to invite anyone that has something to share to please comment.
